Harpswell Community Spring DiG 2019

Lincoln Archaeology Group Spring DiG 2019

There will also be a joint open day on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 with Hall Farm Gardens, Harpswell, Lincolnshire. The gardens will be open, we’ll be serving teas, coffees and cake and we’ll also be doing site tours and children’s activities.

Can you help out for an hour or two?

Volunteers required to help serve teas and guide visitors around the site. It will be a fun day and the beautiful gardens and interesting archaeology are well worth a visit. Please get in touch here if you can help.

LAG Spring DiG is now underway and Trench 1 has yielded a plenty of interesting finds from a variety of time periods. A number of intriguing features have also been uncovered. The sun shone and everyone had a brilliant time.

HarpswellWeek1-002s (1 of 1)There are a small number of places still available for Week 2 – Monday 13th – Friday 17th May, 2019. Places are bookable in advance, subject to availability, at £10 per day for non-members.

This is an amazing opportunity as there are very few excavations, led by professional archaeologists in the UK, which provide places for the people to come along and get practical, hands-on experience, of digging, finds processing and recording.
